Look who's 6

Hey y'all! Hope y'all had a wonderful Christmas!?!...Ours was pretty good. Though, it's never quite the same without my Dad aka Santa calling on Christmas morning...those little things that I just can't ever seem to forget. However, I did manage to get through everything, so I'm counting that as pretty good. ;)

Today, I'm stopping in to share a little card I made for the Butterfly Reflections Ink link up.

Check out the colors...

Seriously, I LOVE the colors!...Though, I did have some trouble using them! lol I still think there's a lot going on, so my minds been running wild. However, not so much with my crafty mojo. (I need to change that! ;)) Hopefully, this is a start!

And this sweet little birthday card, I'll give to my youngest in February. ;)

Thanks for stopping by!
See y'all soon!

Hey y'all! Happy Sunday!

Today, is a brand new challenge at CAS on Sunday! And this time we are all about Christmas! :)

Here's my card.

Okay, this photo probably isn't the best?...I had decent light, but the card has such soft colors, that it was making it little hard on me to edit. :/ The base card is a very settle gray/stone color. My tree is a white base with light pink, light blue, and silver. Which the silver may be hard or almost impossible for some to see?...(if you can tell, my star on top of my tree and the big pink circles have silver snowflakes in them) I really wish y'all could see the card in person! It's so much better than me trying to tell you! ;) Though, I hope you still enjoy it?!...

Be sure to swing on over to CAS on Sunday and see all the DT creations! :)

Hope to see you there!

Enjoy your day!
And Merry Christmas to all!

This is...

Hey y'all! Happy Saturday! Hope you're enjoying the weekend?!...I know the days ahead are only gonna become busier and busier for many of us! ;)

Anyhow, I stopping in to share a card I made for the current Virginia's View Challenge.

Here's my card.

I know there's still a little time left for the challenge. Though, I felt a little 'rushed' to get something done. lol Perhaps, it's the time of year and knowing I have some exciting things coming up!?! ;)

So, for my card I actually started off doing my background different from shown. But honestly, it wasn't working for me. After some playing around, I decided to use the negative from a circle die cut for my 'sky'. I used a couple different blue distress inks to fill in my sky. Then added my 'snow' using a dark blue ink. Once done, I added my sentiment pieces and a little gold star. Top finish everything off, I added my wood veneer house in the middle. So, what do you think?!...

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

Hello (sunshine)

Oh, yes! Coffee! Something that is a must have for me, especially in the mornings! Is anyone else that way?...Boy, if I don't get my coffee in the morning, I'm one big mess! ;)

And how 'bout joining in on the Holiday Coffee Lover's blog hop!!! Yep. :)

So, here's my card!

My oh, my. How this card worked for me. lol I pulled out some Lawn Fawn stamps. Stared at them for a bit, then 'liiight-bulb'! So, I stamped on  my sun and then using my coffee/latte stamps and die, I made my cup of coffee. After, I placed my cup a little over the sun (off centered). Before actually adhering my cup down, I added my coffee beans first. Once done, added my hello, which I slightly arched. I figured this card sort of said it all?!...Hello sunshine, hello coffee! :)

Be sure to swing on over to the Holiday Coffee Lover's blog hop at Amy's blog and see all the fun and awesome creations and join in on the fun! ;) Hope to see you there!

Thankful for you

Hey y'all! Happy Sunday! :)

I'm just swinging on in, because we started a new challenge today at CAS on Sunday! And this time we're all about using the sketch below.

Here's what I came up with.

I wasn't too sure where this sketch was gonna take me. And after making my card, I thought 'Thanksgiving'?! lol...I'm a little late on that, but how about just a simple anytime thankful for you card? ;)

I recently bought a new woodgrain embossing folder (which I absolutely looove), I knew I wanted use it somewhere in my card. So, I went for a woodgrain tag. Hopefully, you can see it?!...After I went through some stashes of mine and came across some glittered leaves and thought 'yep, this will work'. Then, I used some distress inks and made a little banner. Added my sentiment and added some burlap twine to my tag. Once done, I called it good. Though, I did tinker around with the idea of adding a few gold sequins, but thought the leaf alone was enough?... ;)

Well, I hope you're ready to join us?!...We have Create a Smile sponsoring us for this challenge! Which if you join us, you'll have a chance at winning a 15$ voucher! How fun is that?!...Be sure to swing on over to CAS on Sunday and see all the DT creations! Hope to see you there! :)

Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Special Thanks! Blog Hop!

Hey y'all! Welcome to the 'Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking' Special Thanks, blog hop!!! You should have arrived from Libby Hickson's blog.

I certainly made a card, but before I get to that, I want to share with you how Paper Crafts & Scrapbook had changed my life...(I know there's lots of hopping to do, so I'm gonna try it keep it short.)

I had always been of fan of PC&S (or just Paper Crafts, when I started reading them). Looking through the magazines always inspired me. Though, I did always question, could I be that good at this card making thing?...

At some point I finally worked up enough courage to try submitting cards. Though none ever got chosen, it never detoured me from still following my passion. Then, I saw this little not so little challenge called Stamping Royalty. Being determined, I went for it. Well, nothing. Nada. Zip. I didn't win. Though, that was okay to me. I just thought I would continue to push myself. So, the next year I went for it again. Nope. Nothing. No winner here. And again, that was okay. I still continued along. Okay, here we go again...three times a charm, right?! (and 3 is my all time number. *little fact: if you ever look closely at my cards, you'll almost always see things in groups of three with gems/etc.)

Okay, so back to being my third time trying for Stamping Royalty. Well, sit down, because I won on my third time trying!!! :) Yep. I actually won! I couldn't believe it! Talk about a happy dance! My husband had no clue what the heck just happened, let alone what I was doing! lol And the news came right before my birthday...talk about a present! :) After taking it all in, I realized that my dream was no longer a dream, but a reality.

So, then we flash forward 2 years later and seeing the Stamping Royalty contest again, I thought I'd give it go. Well...What would the chances be, that I could win Stamping Royalty twice?!...Apparently, it is possible. ;) And that my friends, is why you should never let anything stop you. Don't second guess yourself, just go for it!

Through all the ups and downs, of submitting cards over and over again, good amazing things can happen! I can honestly say, if it weren't for PC&S I wouldn't be where I am today. After all, this whole blog of mine started because of them. And they opened so many doors for me, that I would have never known!

In return I thank you, PC&S. Thank you for everything!!! You have no idea how much you have touched me...know, you will always have a soft spot in my heart. And perhaps at times, I'll have to rock those crowns!?! ;)

Wherever the road leads, enjoy your journey!

Hugs
<3

Okay, so maybe that wasn't a short post?... ;) Now, you'll want to head on over to Yoosun Hur's blog!

Thanks for stopping on by!
Enjoy!

YOU are TOTALLY sharp

Hey y'all! Happy Sunday! We have a brand new challenge today at CAS on Sunday! And this time we're all about making a 'child/kid' card.

Here's what I came up with.

Not really sure how this one happened?!...I totally was going in a completely different direction than this! lol Guess it happens that way at times. :)

I honestly was wanting to do something fun, since it's all about making a card for a child. Recently, I picked up a new 6 x 6 paper pad and while flipping through it, saw the 'glasses' paper. I knew I wanted to use them, so I did some cutting for the pair I wanted. Once done I had to find something for the eyes...I ended up using the eyes from CAS-ual Fridays 'Sunbeams' set. And to give them a little 'pop' I used an Atyou Spica marker. Then I was stuck for a minute, here I had glasses but what was I gonna use them with?!...After some looking, I found a stamp set with a pencil. So, I went with that and did a little paper piecing. The hardest part was trying to figure out a sentiment! I really had much of nothing to chose from, that would fit in with a pencil. Thankfully, after some thinking in masking I was able to come up with something! ;)

The 'you are totally' are from CAS-ual Fridays 'Amazeballs' set and the 'sharp' along with the pencil are from A Jillian Vance design 'Teacher Teacher' set. And the background notebook paper is from the Lil' Inker Designs 'Notebook Doodle' set.

Well, I hope you're ready to play along?!...We have an AWESOME sponsor, which just so happens to be CAS-ual Fridays Stamps!!! How fun is that?!...

Be sure to swing on over to CAS on Sunday and see all the DT creations!...Hope to see you there! :)

Arrgggh!

Hey, y'all! Happy Friday! :)

I just wanted to share a card I made for the current Casology challenge. And I also saw The Alley Way Stamps BE Inspired challenge, which I thought I give it a go, too. :) *I posted my winner from my 'fun little challenge' too, please scroll down to see.*

So, here's my card!

Well, let me be honest. This was not how my card started out. I was actually trying to do some watercoloring, though that seemed to backfire on me. How can one not manage watercolor?!...I probably should practice more!?! Anyhow, after my watercoloring not working, I figured I'd go with using some inks. And well, it seemed to have worked!(everything happens for a reason, right?!...) ;) After, laying down my inks on my card, I then added my ship and sentiment. Simple, yeah?!...

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

'A little bit of fun' winner!

Hey y'all! I'm just swinging on in to share the winner for my 'a little bit of fun' post.

I must say, I sure loved reading your thoughts/guesses! I never even would have thought of some of them! I guess it goes to show, everyone truly does see things differently! ;)

Okay. I had a total of 3 'seas'. Which were:

The 'sea' itself.
The color I used for the sea was 'sea' breeze.
And the 'sea' grass.

Again, after reading all your guesses, I see there could have been many more! ;)

So, I had 'random.org' give me my winner. Which chose...

Yay, Maria! If you could please send me an email with your address, I'll be sure to get your goodies out to you! ;)

Thank you so much to all! And I really don't want to leave anyone empty handed (seeing there were a little more 'seas' than I thought). So, I would love to send y'all a card!...Please email me, if you would like a card and I'll be sure to get one to you! :)

Enjoy your day!

A festive tag

Hey y'all! Thursday, already?!!...Things just don't slow down, do they?! ;)

I'm stopping in to share a tag I made for the current Casology challenge.

*So, have you y'all seen the beautiful and amazing tags, Tracey has been showcasing?!!...You certainly should check them out, if you haven't! ;)

Being inspired by so many tags, I decided to go with a tag rather than a card. Here's what I came up with!

Simple, yet elegant?!...I'm not quite sure. Though, I am lovin' it (if I might say so myself)! I wish I had a little bit of a better pic, but it is what it is. I did a little blending with some distress inks, in this case two different shades of pink. And chose to 'fade it out' rather than cover my whole tag. Then I added some gold snowflakes. After I added my 'to' and 'from'. So, what do think?!...

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy your day! :)

hey! lil dude

Hey y'all! Happy Monday! Hope y'all are having a great start to the week! :)

We have a fun new challenge at Poppy Sketches, today!

Here's my card.

Yep. I decided to go with a fun and playful card. I went with a 'blue' base, so my image had some pop to it. For my image, I pulled out some colored pencils and did a little coloring. And to get my little alien inside, I just did a little 'masking'. Simple, yeah?...

Be sure to swing on over to Poppy Sketches and see all the DT cards! Hope to see you there!...

we belong together

Hey y'all! Happy Sunday! Today, is a new challenge at CAS on Sunday! And another fun one it is...We wanna see the use of ribbon and/or twine on your card!

So, here's what I came up with!

Yes, I went with making another little card again! Though, I think it fits perfectly?! ;) I wanted to do something fun and 'happy'. So, I went with using some fun Lawn Fawn 'Milk and Cookies' stamps/dies and some fun papers. Once 'eyeing' where I wanted my milk, cookie, and piece of doily at, I added my sentiment (which I slightly arched). After, I then adhered my milk, cookie, and piece of doily to my card. Then finished it off with a few little sequins. What do you think?!...

Be sure to swing on over to CAS on Sunday and see all the DT creations! And while your there, I hope you'll join us! :) Our sponsor for this challenge is Create a Smile!...The winner will receive a 15$ gift voucher! How cool is that?!!...Hope to see you there!

'metallic' love

Hey y'all! Happy Friday! Whew!...Not sure exactly where the week went?!...But I'm happy it's Friday! :) *If you're looking for my "and a little bit of fun" post, please scroll down. :)

So, I'm stopping in to share a fun card I made for the current Virginia's View Challenge.

Alright. So here's my card.

It was seriously dark out, when I started this card. Which in return I had very little light to work with! (I'm telling my husband today, we need some more lights/lamps in the house! lol ;))

Anyhow, when I saw the challenge being about metallic, I knew I wanted something fun and somewhat unexpected from me. Did I think my card was gonna go in the direction it did?...Not at all! ;)  I started off, going in the direction of some inlay die cutting but that was really working for me. After I sat there staring at my papers, a light bulb went off!

So, I started taking my metallic silver cardstock and cutting it in various sizes. Once done, I placed them over some black cardstock and then adhered the strips to it. After, I cut the edges to line up. Simple, yeah?...For my sentiment, I used my die with a few different colors of cardstock and then layered them together. (I've been seeing a lot of people doing that lately, so thought I give it a try.) To top things off, one little silver sequin. What you think?!...

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy your Friday/weekend! :)

I'm here for you (and a little bit of fun)

Hey y'all! Happy Thursday!...How is it Thursday already?!...Since the whole time change, I've been all over the place with my schedule! Trying to put my kids to bed at 6pm...yeah, that's not gonna work! lol Then waking up at 6am rather than my normal 7am...'early bird gets the worm' right?!...lol Eventually, I'll figure things out! Let's hope! ;)

Anyhow, today I'm sharing a card I made for the current Casology challenge.

So, here's my card.

(How this type of card came to me?...I'm not sure. But I hope nobody will need a 'I'm here for you' card soon.)

Now, I thought I would do something fun with this card and post! Being the cue card is 'sea' I thought it would be fun to see if anyone can guess how many "sea's" are in my card!?!...So tell me...

In my card, how many things do you see that have 'sea' in it?...And perhaps, a little clue to help you?...you may have to do a bit of thinking outside of the sea! Ha! That really may not help at all! lol ;)

Whoever guesses correctly first, there may just be a little package of goodies headed your way! ;) (If for some reason no one guesses correctly, I'll randomly choose a someone to receive some goodies!)

Thanks for swinging on by!
Enjoy your day!

*Note: I"ll leave the challenge open for a week or two. Please just be sure you're reachable, if you're chosen. :) Thanks!*

Boo! Happy Halloween!

Hey y'all! Happy Friday and Happy Halloween!!! :)

Today, I have a couple ghostly cards to share with you! I saw the current Casology challenge and decided to give it a go! ;)

At first, I had one little ghost. Then thought, that little ghost needs a big ghost. So, then there were two.

So, what does one do when they have no ghost stamps?!...Some good thinking! lol (not sure if that's suppose be a joke or not?...ha!) Anyhow, I grabbed a punch I had and used it for the bottom of my ghosts. Then did some hand cutting for the shape. After I added a couple 'nailheads' (is that the name for those?...) for the eyes and hopefully, you can see around the eyes a hint of some shimmer?...To finish things off, I used some little Halloween stamps, and placed them on the ghosts. So, what do you think?!...

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy all the festivities today/tonight! :)
Boo!

Hello there

Hey y'all! This is my second post of the day! If you're looking for my Merry Monday post, please scroll down.

Today, is a brand new challenge at Poppy Sketches! Check it out. :)

So, here's my take.

I pretty much kept to the sketch. The only thing I really changed (just a tiny bit) was instead of having the top and bottom pieces of paper even, I chose to have the top piece of paper just 'peeking out'.

Be sure to swing on over to Poppy Sketches and see all the DT creations! Hope to see you there!

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

Remember when...

Hey y'all! Happy Monday! Hope you're off to a great start of the week?!!...

Remember when I was Guesting at Merry Monday?...Well, for the last challenge we celebrated (with a surprise) Lisa's birthday! (which, in return I shared a card I made for her.) So, today I get to share my card I originally made for the Merry Monday challenge! :)

Here's my take!

I kept things nice and clean. Decided to go with a white base and a little embossing on my panel, along with a die. And I was gonna stamp on a sentiment, but then chose to use an SRM sticker. So, what you think?!...

Be sure to swing on over to Merry Monday to see all the DT creations and join in on the fun! Hope to see you there!

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy your day! And I'll be back shortly with another post! ;)

My heart beats for you

Hey y'all! Happy Sunday! Hope all is well?!...

Today, is a brand new challenge at CAS on Sunday! And another fun one it is...we're all about 'one layer' cards this time! :)

Here's my card.

Nice and simple, yeah?...Hopefully, you can somewhat see the 'faint' background I did around the heart? (I used some distress ink and just lightly swirled it around) After doing my background, I stamped my 'heart note' on, making sure the 'heart' was over my background. Once done, I added my sentiment. Which I chose to run it downward, next to the note. So, what you think?!...

Be sure to swing on over to CAS on Sunday and see all the DT creations! And if you choose to join us, the winner for this challenge will be our Guest Designer for the next challenge!...How fun is that?!...Hope to see you there! :)

Thanks for stopping by!

One card, one challenge

Hey y'all! Happy Sunday! It's been a minute, since I've popped in! As some of you already know, I had caught the flu. :( Absolutely, no fun at all! I was in bed for about 2-3 days straight. Everything from body aches to fever to having no taste, I had it all. I haven't had the flu in ages, so I completely forgot how bad it is! Believe me when I say, it's something you don't wanna encounter. Anyhow, I am getting much better! I am up and going more, though still taking it a little easy. (I would hate to have a relapse of anything.)

Okay, so now on to my card. When I saw the current Waffle Flower Challenge and saw 'white space'...you knew, I had to play along! (There's also an inspiration photo, as well. If you haven't checked out the challenge yet, you should! Always, fun!)

So, here's my card.

Just look at all that white space! ;) Keeping things ultra CAS, for my first card I used three different Waffle Flower stamp sets. For the hearts I used the Bowtiful stamp set, for the line I used the Starry Night stamp set, and for the sentiment I used the Flower Circles stamp set. I lined up my hearts and used Copics Atyou Spica to color them in and then used some glossy accents on top. Oh, I had to have some patience for that! lol Which thankfully, didn't take extremely long because I only used a little but still...the waiting...! After, I added my 'line' underneath the hearts and then my sentiment. Simple, yeah?...

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

Just a note

Hey y'all! Happy Monday! Today, is a new challenge at Poppy Sketches! And this time we have a fun 'pattern' for you to use! ;)

So, here's my card.

Yep. I chose to go with a slightly smaller card. And to keep things simple. I almost was in a panic, because I wasn't sure if I had anything that was a 'houndstooth' pattern! lol Seriously, how would one recreate a houndstooth pattern, if they didn't have something?!...Anyhow, lucky for me, I didn't have to worry! I found some in my box of scraps! ;) And while I was looking through my box scraps, I found a small piece of black polka dot paper. Which, thought that was meant be. So, along came my card with two pieces of scrap paper and two pieces of wood embellishments. Along, with a little bit of twine and a sweet little sentiment. So, what you think?!...

Be sure to swing on over to Poppy Sketches to see all the DT creations! And while you're there, I hope you'll join us?!!...Our sponsor this time is Gina K. Designs. Which those sweet wood embellishments are from. :)

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

I LOVE YOU

Hey y'all! Happy Sunday!

Today is a new challenge at CAS on Sunday! And this time it's all about 'embossing'!

Here's my card.

Once again, I'm keeping things very 'clean'. I went with a white base and a white embossed woodgrain strip. To add a little bit of color, I choose some gold cardstock for my arrows and added a little red heart. So, what you think?!...

Be sure to swing on over to CAS on Sunday and see all the DT creations! And I sure hope you'll join us?!!...If so, you have a chance at winning 15$ gift voucher to Create a Smile! How awesome is that?!...Hope to see you there! ;)
