Heartfelt thanks (watercolor)

Hey y'all! Happy Sunday!

Today we have a brand new challenge at CAS on Sunday! And this time it's all about making a 'splash'!...We want to see some water on your card!

Here's what I came up with.

Here I am again, playing with the Lotus set from Waffle Flower! I just love this set! (I may say that about all the sets, but it's true! lol) So, I started by using some distress markers for my water/pond. Once dried, I added my sentiment and used my stitched die. After I did some coloring with my flower, then placed it on my card. Simple, yeah?!...

Be sure to swing on over to CAS on Sunday and see all the DT creations! And while you're there I hope you'll join us?!!...

Howdy

Hey y'all!

Happy Friday!! :)
*edit: To see my special guest post, please scroll down. ;) *

I'm just quickly swinging on in to share a card I made for the current Casology Challenge!

Here's my take.

Well, hopefully this is still considered CAS?!...lol I know I have some layers, but there's still plenty of white space too! ;)

I ended up going through my papers and came across the only one piece of plaid paper I had! I really thought I would have had more than one, but I guess not! lol Being this is all I had to work with, I did my best to be careful and not to waste too much of it. (I'm seem to be good at messing things up or changing my mind after I start something. And yes, I did mess up the first time around.)
I used some Lawn Fawn goodies with my plaid paper and some Lil' Inker Designs stitched dies. Then added some googly eyes to my cactus and some twine around my potted plant.

I would love to hear what you think?!...

A special guest

Hey y'all!

Happy Thursday, almost Friday!!
Today I have a special guest on my blog...my daughter! When I was making my rounds on commenting, I saw Simon Says Stamp Kids Summer Vacation Challenge.  I asked my daughter if she'd like to make something and of course (with excitement and smiling big) she said yes!

Kid'sChallenge-01

So, here's her card!

Done by my daughter, Hailey. Age 10

This is actually the second card she made, somehow her first card got lost! We have searched up and down her room and pretty much the whole house and can't find it anywhere!...Though she wasn't upset about it, she just went on to making a new one. ;) I'm sure when we least expect it, the first card will turn up somewhere! I think she takes after her dad on misplacing things. lol ;)

Anyhow, she chose which things she wanted to use and just had some fun with it. She does have a little (possibly not so little) stash of her own supplies, but of course she wanted to use what I had. ;) She was going to hand write a sentiment but she didn't think she had enough room. She didn't want to stamp a sentiment, so I told her she could always leave it blank and that's what she chose to do.

I would love it if you'd let her know what you think?!!... :)

Celebrate

Hey y'all! Happy Friday!! :)

I'm swinging on in today to share a card I made for the current Little Tangles Challenge!

Happy birthday!...Celebrate!

So, for my card I use Neat & Tangled's Graduated Stripes die, which I did some watercoloring and trimmed down the ends some. After, I used the Just for You stamp set and added my sentiment. Then, I added my balloon (which I 'popped' up) and string. Yes, my balloon does look maybe like it's not inked all the way, but it is. Though, I did have it darker in some spots than others. And I could have stamped it over, but then I thought it looked somewhat good with the watercolor and left it as it was. ;) Let me know what you think?!!...

Smile...life is beautiful

Hey y'all! Happy almost Friday!!
I can actually say, that I look forward to Fridays (well, I did before to but it was different.)...The whole getting up extra early and rounding up my kids in the morning is certainly some work! lol ;)

Anyhow, today I'm swinging on in to share a card I made for a brand new challenge! When I saw the new Pinterest Inspired Challenge, I couldn't wait to play along (and gasp! I'm not even on Pinterest! lol).

Here's the inspiration photo.

And here's my card.

As you can see, the colors inspired me. Aren't they pretty?!!...I decided to keep everything nice and clean by just adding a fun sentiment and a few accents.

Happy Note

Hey y'all! Happy Monday...Hope your week is starting off right?! :)

Well, with my kids back in school things have certainly been quieter! lol Sooo, I've been cleaning, working out, creating, commenting, etc. and you'd think all that, it would be enough to keep me busy...but I'm telling you, I still find myself lost! Ha. Maybe it just takes some time. ;)

Anyhow, I'm sharing a card for the current Virginia's View Challenge. Which, I'm cutting this one a little close. However, I did make it in time!

Here's my card.

For some reason I struggled with making this card! And I mean struggled. I'm not sure how many ideas would come to me and then fail once I'd tried to put it all together. So I took a break. After days and days went by, I finally had something come to me again. So I tried to put it all together and well, nope. It wasn't happening.again. Realize at this point I was getting ready to throw in the towel.

Then...wouldn't you know, something actually worked for me! :)

Well...

Hey y'all! Happy Monday! Hope you're starting your week off right?!! :)

Well...I totally made a card for the current Casology challenge...only to have missed the deadline! lol Ooops! Though, I'm still gonna share. ;)

When I saw 'precious' I was gonna go with the whole 'baby' theme. But then I had something else come to me. I thought, why not some precious flowers and/or a precious sentiment?...So that's what I went with. ;)

I simply stamped on my flower image using a light grey ink. Then did a little coloring. Once done, I stamped on my sentiment. So, what do you think?!...

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

P.S.

I know (again) I've been a little MIA...but believe me, I'm getting back on track! ;) I'm savoring the last couple days of having my kids home because comes Wednesday they are back in school! Honestly, it's bitter sweet. As much as I love my kids, Mom needs a break! lol However though, what's going to be really weird for me, is not only will be kids be at school, but my husband will be at work too!...Not sure what I'll do with everything being so quiet and me, all by myself?!!...I know one things for sure, the house will stay cleaner longer! lol ;)

set sail...

Hey y'all! Happy Sunday! Hope all is well?! :)

Today, we have a brand new challenge at CAS on Sunday! And this time we're all about 'Travel'...

Here's what I came up with.

Yep. I kept things very simple. I added a strip of dark blue, using a distress ink pad directly on my cardstock. After, I stamped on my sentiment and added some twine, along with a little wood veneer anchor. Easy, yeah?!...Let me know what you think!?! :)

Be sure to swing on over to CAS on Sunday to see all the DT creations and to join in on the fun!...Hope to see you there!
